    Hi Aisha,
My name is Shira, I’m a journalist currently working on the changing relationship of Palestinian women initiatives with NGOs. I’ve read about your fascinating work with Sharaka and was hoping I could speak with you about your views on the organization and on the future of Palestinian self-reliance.

Please feel free to contact me at any time, shirarrubin@gmail.com, or 052.953.9834, or I’d be happy to get in contact with you.

    Thanks much!

  2. Hi Aisha,

I’m Fatin; we met at the Palestinian Writing Workshop on Blogging.

    Have you seen this article?

Anyway, a friend was asking where she can buy Palestinian-grown produce. I told her about Souq Akli Baladi, but will it be closing for the winter months? My friend lives in Bethlehem. Do you know of any other farmers markets outside of Ramallah?

    • HI Fatin

Yes, I remember you. How is your blog going? I have been discussing a farmers market with some friends in the Bethelehem area. There is no farmers market yet in the Bethlehem area, but hopefully there will be by next season. Please have your friend follow Sharaka – community supported agriculture on Facebook.

      Hope all is well.

    Hi Aishah,
After reading your article on making a skin salve in This Week in Palestine, I got interested in visiting your blog and after a quick browsing, I feel like we might be sharing similar interests. I am wondering if you would like to form a group of people who are interested in healthy lifestyles whereby we can organize weekly meetings to exchange and share recipes, tips, ideas, hikes, knowledge about local herbs, care for the environment, foraging, organic agriculture, etc….. Anyone would be invited to attend and share their experiences and knowledge like nutritionists, farmers, physicians, sociologists, etc, … The common goal is to improve the health of the individual and the community
I know a place in Ramallah where we can hold meetings and I have some ideas on how to advertise our activities
    What do you think?
